  • We are hosting the 1st Annual Buck Pole to encourage children to get outdoors and connect with nature, while celebrating one of Michigan's great traditions—hunting. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp, operated by Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC), which educates the next generation of conservation stewards. MUCC’s mission is to unite citizens to conserve, protect, and enhance our natural resources and outdoor heritage. This family-friendly, easygoing event is all about fun, community, and fostering a love for the outdoors.

  • We have three different categories for winning: 16 and Under, 17 and over, and the peoples choice deer. We will be announcing how we are deciding on each winner soon.

  • A Buck Pole is a cherished tradition in Michigan’s hunting community, where hunters gather to proudly display and share their legally harvested deer. Typically held after the opening of firearm season, it’s a social event where deer are hung on a pole or structure for all to see, often accompanied by friendly competition, storytelling, and celebration. At our 1st Annual Buck Pole at Coach's Pub & Grill, we’re putting a fun, family-oriented twist on this heritage—featuring a pig roast, live music, and categories for all ages—to introduce the next generation to the outdoors while honoring Michigan’s rich hunting legacy.
